Our goal is to create an enriching environment where children lead their own educational journeys, fostering a lifelong love of learning. By empowering students to take charge, we cultivate critical thinking, creativity, and passion for discovery. This approach not only benefits students but also enriches the entire family, encouraging parental involvement and building a supportive community. Jessie Vasquez
Jessie is the Co-Founder of ApogeeOKC, she brings a rich and varied background to educational leadership. As a former gymnast at the University of Oklahoma, she achieved the distinction of Academic All-American, showcasing her dedication to both sport and academics.
Jessie earned a Master’s in Higher Education, fueling her passion for student development. She further honed her mentoring skills as a Division 1 college coach, guiding young athletes to reach their potential.
In the corporate world, Jessie excelled as a C-suite director, where her leadership and strategic vision flourished. Her experience in management and innovation laid the groundwork for establishing ApogeeOKC.
A devoted wife and mother, Jessie balances family life with her professional endeavors. Her journey is driven by a passion to empower others, fostering growth both mentally and physically. Through ApogeeOKC, Jessie combines her expertise and dedication to create a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, athletically, and personally.
Jessie's path from elite gymnast to educator and corporate leader exemplifies perseverance and empowerment, inspiring the next generation to excel in all aspects of life.
Shaun Vasquez
Shaun is the Co- Founder of ApogeeOKC, a pioneering learner-led school dedicated to transforming the educational landscape. As a veteran, husband, father, and entrepreneur, Shaun brings a unique blend of experience and dedication to his mission. His military service instilled in him the values of hard work, dedication, and intentionality, which he applies to every aspect of his life.
Shaun is a passionate advocate for family, believing in the importance of creating an educational environment that supports and enriches the entire family unit. His entrepreneurial spirit drives him to challenge traditional educational models and innovate continuously, while his commitment to freedom and individual growth shapes the foundation of ApogeeOKC.
As a protector and provider, Shaun is devoted to creating a safe and nurturing space where children can flourish. His dedication to education and belief in purposeful action guide his efforts to cultivate a community that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
